  • Uplift Someone Today

When I started Just Unicorn, the whole point was never just merch and music. The point was people. I wanted to make something that lifted people up, made them happier, and helped them grow into who they already are underneath all the noise. Everything else is just the vehicle.

Here is something I have learned. You do not have to do anything huge to change somebody’s day. The world makes it seem like uplifting people requires a big platform or a big speech or a big donation. It does not. Most of the time it is small. A real compliment. Remembering something somebody told you. Telling a person you believe in them out loud, before they believe it themselves.

I think we underestimate how heavy people are carrying things quietly, and how light one kind moment can make them feel. You never know which small thing lands at exactly the right time. I have had throwaway comments from strangers stick with me for years. You have probably had the same.

Growing is not just about you getting better. It is about leaving people a little better than you found them. That is the kind of wild I actually care about. Not loud for the sake of loud, but bold enough to be kind in a world that often is not.

So here is your one assignment. Before today is over, lift one person up. Say the thing. Make the call. Be the small moment somebody did not see coming. Run wild. Be wild. And bring people with you.

  • Do What You Want, When You Want

People hear do what you want, when you want and they flinch. It sounds reckless. It sounds like an excuse to blow up your life and let everyone down. But that is not what I mean by it, and it is not what this brand is about.

What I mean is simpler and harder. Most of us spend our days doing what we think we are supposed to do. We follow a script we never wrote, in a story someone else handed us, and we call it being responsible. We trade our one wild life for a steady kind of numbness and we tell ourselves that is just how it is.

Doing what you want, when you want, is the practice of taking your life back one honest choice at a time. It is asking, in real moments, is this actually mine, or am I just doing it because I am scared not to. It is the most honest way to live, because it forces you to stop performing and start choosing.

It is not about having no rules. It is about making sure the rules you follow are yours. When I quit my job, I was not running away from responsibility. I was finally taking responsibility for the only thing that was ever truly mine to begin with, which is how I spend my days.

So start small if you have to. One honest choice. One thing today that is yours and nobody else’s. That is where freedom actually begins. Run wild. Be wild.
